Why Moore Development Strategies?

As a donor, volunteer and fund development professional, Dawn Moore has more than 25 years experience in serving clients’ organizational and fund development needs.


Believing that every organization has a next level, Dawn has successfully designed and directed comprehensive fund development programs, campaigns and stewardship plans across a variety of
sectors – education, health and human services, arts and culture, animal welfare, civic and religious organizations.


Working alongside organizations and boards, her insights from all aspects of philanthropy give her a valuable perspective of the key components to a successful fund development program – from
initial planning and staff engagement to design and long-term donor retention. Her depth of experience in assessing systems, personnel recruitment and coaching make her particularly adept at
understanding the unique challenges of today’s nonprofits.


Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Dawn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Marketing from California State University, Sacramento. She also completed coursework at University of California, Davis - Extension in instructional design, facilitation skills, training management, organizational development, and needs assessment and evaluation.

A fitness enthusiast, Dawn enjoys spending time outdoors exploring with family and friends. When indoors, it is not uncommon to find her experimenting with a new cookie recipe.
